Some names find their way into our lives in unexpected ways.
The Humeyra Abaya is one of the most personal pieces in our collection. Humeyra was originally meant to be my middle name, but instead it became my younger sister’s, the youngest of eight children. What once was intended for me became part of her story, and now, through this abaya, it has become part of ours.
That shared meaning made this design impossible to name anything else.
