Donations

At Unknown Ukht, we believe that faith must be lived in action - especially when so many lives are at stake. In light of the ongoing genocide, humanitarian crisis and famine in Palestine, we have committed to donating substantial portions of our profits to relief efforts after the 1st of November. Our given structure is as follows:

  • 25% of all profits go to addressing the famine in Gaza (via our LaunchGood fundraising campaign).
  • 25% of all profits go toward special-case relief in Palestine and Afghanistan (and to displaced Sudanese communities when possible), through our partner charity MATW Project.

In this way, 50% of profits are dedicated to urgent humanitarian causes. The remaining funds support the sustainability of Unknown Ukht — from operations to outreach.

Why MATW Project?

When selecting a charity partner, integrity and efficiency matter deeply to us. We chose MATW Project because of their transparent, principled approach and their strong track record in crisis zones. Below is a researched background on who they are, what they do, and why we trust them with your donation.

Who is MATW?

MATW is a global Islamic charity operating in more than 20 countries. Their name is often associated with initiatives in Muslim-majority regions affected by conflict, displacement, poverty, and disaster.

They are actively involved in emergency relief, food distribution, orphans’ sponsorship, medical support, and community development programs. In Palestine and Gaza, they run famine/emergency appeals and support displaced families on the ground.

100% Donation Policy & Financial Integrity

One of the standout features of MATW is their 100% donation policy. That means every single penny, pound, euro, or dollar donated is routed to project work — not administrative overheads or salaries.

How do they manage that in practice? They maintain separate funding streams (often through dedicated “administration fund” or “admin-fee” pools) so that general donations can go fully to field work. Their policies also emphasize transparency, secure financial controls, and publicly available accountability documents.

What MATW is Doing in Palestine/Afghanistan (and beyond)

Because we allocate 25% of our profits to “special-case” relief via MATW, it’s important you know what kinds of work your donations support:

  • In Gaza and Palestine: MATW runs emergency hunger relief appeals (famine relief) for families suffering under siege and blockade.
  • They also assist displaced families, including those who have sought refuge in neighbouring countries.
  • Their work extends to orphans’ support, medical aid, and other crisis interventions in regions such as Afghanistan, and in times aiding displaced Sudanese populations when possible through their broader network.

Thus, when we say “special-case relief,” we mean urgent, high-need cases — victims of war, severe disease, famine, displacement, or medical crisis.

Why This Matters

The scale of suffering in Palestine, Gaza, Afghanistan, and among Sudanese refugees is hard to process. Yet, even a small act of giving can mean the difference between starvation and survival, between access to medicine or not, between hope and despair.

By channeling funds directly to crisis‐response organizations like MATW (with verified donation policies), and doubling down on famine relief in Gaza, we aim to live our values and empower real change.
